The reason is simple - Tinubu is sick and he is not denying it. If he dies in office, the muslims don't want to risk a Christian breaking the 24 years of unbroken islamic rule of Nigeria which they have already planned.  

If Tinubu and Shettima- win, that will be 16 years of Islamic rule ie 2015 -2031. Then power will return to the north and another Muslim-maybe Shettima himself, will become president (2031-2039).   By the time it is over, will there be any Christians left in Northern Nigeria at the current rate of Christian ethnic genocide?

Will the imported fulani herdsmen that Buhari planted in the forests in southern Nigeria not have taken over the land totally with the help of Shettima?

Any Christian who voted for Buhari in 2015 or 2019 should repent and ask God for forgiveness.  Buhari openly said that Jonathan fighting boko haram was an attack on the north. He called Christians monkeys and baboons  and said our blood will flow if he was not elected in 2015. In only 8 years, Buhari has turned the army, airforce, navy, police, DSS, EFCC, supreme court (11 moslems out of 14 justices)  NNPC, CBN, National Assembly, EVERYTHING into core islamic establishments. In the next 4-8 years, there will not even be a legal mechanism to stop the declaration of Nigeria as an Islamic Republic like Pakistan or Iran.
