Atiku Abubakar,the peoples democratic presidential candidates(PDP) on wednesday in Damaturu, during the lunch of his presidential campaign, appeal to the people to elect him being one of ther own saying that the 2019 election provided the sub-region with rare opportunity .In damaturu, he said since Tafawa Balewa in the first republic administration, that the northeast have not gained the opportunity to produce the president of Nigeria. 
The presidential candidates went ahead to assure women and youth that they will be given opportunity to serve in his administration , if elected 
presidential aspirant advised the security operatives and personnel of the national electoral commission on the need to not take side with any one, urging them to maintain free and fair pattern in the discharge of their duties.

he also assures that if elected, he guaranty security and would provide basic infrastructure across the state.
